Gathering Stories

“Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today.” – Robert McAfee Brown

Stories of real events can be actively used to capture and share lessons with staff in the workplace because they are more memorable than data or lengthy manuals.  For example, In the NHS, stories involving patients have become an established way to focus discussions on quality and patient experience. Patient stories also speak strongly to frontline staff.

One aspect of my work is leading storytelling projects with vulnerable groups and diverse communities and helping organisations listen to these stories and understand personal experiences.

I’m energised by hearing and using stories.  Stories can transform our understanding and our world.
